The Freedom's Defense Fund is leading conservative efforts to defeat H.R. 2043, an unconstitutional back door effort to making Washington, DC a state. This maneuver, introduced by liberal Republican Tom Davis of Virginia and passed by the House of Representatives, would immediately give the Democrats an additional vote in the Congress. The supporters of DC Statehood see this as a first step toward getting representation in the U.S. Senate. This would mean two permanent far left Democrats from Washington, DC in the U.S. Senate. They would vote for abortion on demand, job killing tax policies, socialist welfare programs, the elimination of gun rights, the over regulation of just about everything, the expansion of government into your life and opposition to a strong defense against global terrorism.
